With the evolution of Macromedia Flash, more and more programmers are creating their games in Flash.  Flash players are free, readily accessible, and can render very playable games with surprisingly good graphics and gameplay.  Web sites like Arcade Python host thousands of popular Flash games, all for FREE, drawing addicted gamers from all over the Internet.
